Carthage - Funeral services for Major Cleveland McDaniel, 86, retired farmer of Carthage, are to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hawthorn Funeral Chapel.

The Rev. M. C. Landtroop is to officiate and burial is to be in Antioch Cemetery.

Mr. McDaniel died Friday at morning Panola General Hospital. He was a native of Carthage and a member of the Pentecostal church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hannah McDaniel, Carthage; four sons, Henry G. McDaniel, Harvey McDaniel, John Neal McDaniel and Shirley McDaniel, all of Carthage; five daughters, Mrs. Opal Irene Brown and Mrs. Lillie Mae Lawless, both of Carthage, Mrs. Emma Jane Barber, Clayton, Mrs. Mary Sue Edge, Clute, and Mrs. Bonnie Belle Bagley, Port Arthur; and 36 grandchildren.2
