     Josephus Arthur King was also known as Joseph.1 He was born on 9 April 1928 at Denver, Denver County, Colorado.1 He was the son of William Harold King and Bonnie Lee Witt.1 He married Anne Pauline Labus on 14 August 1947 at Amarillo, Potter County, Texas.3 He died on 2 November 2013 at USA at age 85.1
Joseph King

Services for Joseph Arthur King, 85, of Kemp, are set for 10 a.m. Thursday (today) Nov. 7, 2013, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Gun Barrel City with Father Dan Daughtery officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery will full military honors.
King was born April 9, 1928, in Denver. Colo., to Donniw (Witt) and William Harold King, and died Nov. 2, 2013 due to complications of acute myelocytic leukemia.
He grew up in Amarillo, and graduated from Price College in 1946. He went to Northrop Aeronautical Institute in Hawthorne, Calif., in 1948.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952, serving for 26 years, which included assignments in seven of the United States, as well as Saudi Arabia, Germany, Korea and Vietnam.
He retired as a Master Sargeant in Tucson, Ariz., where he served as a quality assurance inspector and technical writer for some of the Air Force's most advanced electronic systems.
Following his military career, he worked in the computer and electronics industry in the Los Angeles, Calif., area for 13 years.
In 1988, he moved to Henderson County, where he owned and operated the Evening Shadows RV Park and Tool for nine years.
He retired in 1997, subsequently buying a home and settling in the West Cedar Creek Lake community.
He also served as a director of the West Cedar Creek Municipal Utility District for many years.
Anne Pauline Labus King for 14 years, whith whom he had four children.
He was married to Gertrud Lauterbach King for 51 years, with whom he had two children.
He was an avid photographer and became a home computer enthusiast. after his retirement, he developed a deep enduring passion for studying the genealogical records of the ancestors of both his parents.
His visits to family around the country would often be interspersed with trips to various county courthouses to gather data from public records.
Through his genealogical research, he was able to cultivate many contacts as he documented historical accounts of past generations immigrating to and settling in America.
His research uncovered some rather surprising connections to European royalty several generations back and he was known to joke about legitimately claiming the title of being a "Royal Half-Witt," referring to his maternal Witt family lineage.
His completed works include The Life of William Harold King-as He Lived It, as He Saw It, and as He Recorded It; The Ancestral Witt Family Lineage of John Foster Witt and Paralee London & Their Descendants; The Witt Genealogy Book; and My King Family.
Survivors include his Gertrud; children Lindan Witt-King, Susan K. Drilea, Donna C. King, (Annamarie) Sister M. Josepha King and Joseph W. King; grandchildren Kari Leigh Marucchi, David M. Katz, Jasmine S. Bulin, Jennifer Drilea, Alexi Drilea, and twins Alison and Ryan King; sisters Rita Hoehb and husband Bill, Anne Winter; brother James B. King and wife Evelyn and their children and grandchildren; cousin Lita Joyce Holstein; many other extended relatives and friends.
