Hallmark was born on 19 June 1817 at Blount County, Alabama.1 He was the son of George William Washington Hallmark and Sarah Calvert.1 He began military service on 6 March 1836 at Texas.2 He ended military service circa June 1836 at Texas and fought at the battle of San Jacinto.2 He married Sarah Hallmark, daughter of John Hallmark and Amy Anna Satterwhite, circa 1842 at USA.1 He died on 16 April 1880 at Houston County, Texas, at age 62.1
