     Samuel Houston Gafford was born on 10 August 1870 at Stewart County, Tennessee. (Sam was probably born in 1869 since the 1870 census indicates that he is one year old.)¹ He was the son of William A. Gafford and Francis Smith.¹ He married Annie Wyatt on 24 December 1894 at Stewart County, Tennessee.² He died on 8 January 1951 at Stewart County, Tennessee, at age 80.¹

S.H. Gafford Dies At Indian Mound

Samuel Houston Gafford, 80, died at his home in Indian Mound Monday afternoon, Jan. 8 following an illness of two years. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Rose Valley Methodist Church. The Rev. Delwin Fryer officiating and burial was in the Heflin cemetery, Milligan & Ridgeway were in charge.
A native of Stewart County, he was born August 10, 1870, son of William and Frances Smith Gafford. On Dec. 25, 1894, he was married to Annie White, who survives with five sons, Oscar, Clarence, Clifton and Buford, all of Indian Mound, and Lee Gafford of Clarksville, and four daughters, Mrs. Chesley Keatts, Mrs. Marvin Heflin, of Indian Mound; Mrs. Roy Legate, of Clarksville, and Mrs Delma Lee of Detroit. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Three of the grandchildren were reared by Mr. and Mrs. Gafford - Mrs. Nina Gafford Milliken, Miss Thelma Gafford and Herschel Gafford.
Mr. Gafford was a member of the Rose Valley Methodist Church.³

     William A. Gafford is the son of James M. Gafford.² He married Francis Smith on 1 September 1859 at Montgomery County, Tennessee.³

     William Bailey Gafford was born in 1943.¹ He was the son of Charles Clifton Gafford and Fannie Mae Milliken.¹ He died in 2015.¹

     William M. Gafford is the son of Robert C. Gafford and Martha Annie Minervia Green.¹

     Bobby Eugene Gage married Shirley Ann Hunter, daughter of Walter Louis Hunter and Jessie Lee Lunsford, before 1956 at USA.

     Dianne Gage was born on 1 April 1957 at Tarrant County, Texas.¹ She was the daughter of Bobby Eugene Gage and Shirley Ann Hunter.¹ She married Jimmy Lee Pallett on 2 August 1977 at Tarrant County, Texas.² She died on 7 June 1995 at Mansfield, Tarrant County, Texas, at age 38.³


MANSFIELD - Diane Pallett, 38, and LTV employee, died Wednesday at home.
FUNERAL: 3:30 p.m. today at Moore Funeral Home. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens.
Mrs Pallett had lived in Mansfield for 18 years and had worked for LTV since 1979. She was a Baptist.

Pallett of Mansfield; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Marvin Kennedy of Burleson; father and setpmother, Bobby and Debbie Gage of Arlington; three sisters, Pamela Tomlinson of Fort Worth and Paul Archer and Susan Cowley of Burleson; grandparents, Jessie Hunter of Bogata and Nora Gage of Paris; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Laverne and Ogle Pallett of Arlington; and brothers-in-law, Scotty Pallett and Robert Pallett, both of Arlington.

     Pamela Jean Gage is the daughter of Bobby Eugene Gage and Shirley Ann Hunter.¹ She married Hayden Walter Tomlinson on 19 December 2002 at Tarrant County, Texas.^2,3 She and Hayden Walter Tomlinson were divorced on 23 June 2011 at Tarrant County, Texas.⁴

     Paula Annette Gage is the daughter of Bobby Eugene Gage and Shirley Ann Hunter.¹ She married Kenneth Wayne Archer on 17 June 1977 at Johnson County, Texas.²

     Susan Ann Gage is the daughter of Bobby Eugene Gage and Shirley Ann Hunter.¹ She married Benjamin R. Acton on 29 August 1985 at Johnson County, Texas.² She and Benjamin R. Acton were divorced on 26 June 1992 at Johnson County, Texas.³
